To obtain commission approval for a project, the political subdivision or private entity must submit an application and comply with all requirements and conditions imposed by this subchapter. Prior to submitting an application to the department, applicants are encouraged to confer with their local department district office. The applicant should direct questions regarding the application and approval process, as well as questions relating to the respective roles and responsibilities of the applicant and the department, to the Transportation Planning and Programming Division (TPP).
