The purpose of these sections is to designate the requirements and the terms, definitions, nomenclature, and conditions as commonly used and recognized in the manufacture, sale, and distribution of bedding and furniture products and filling materials. Classifications of materials in these regulations are intended to have understandable meaning to regulated businesses and consumers. The definitions used are in conformity with those adopted by the majority of states, Canada, the Federal Trade Commission and the Association of Bedding and Furniture Law Officials.
