(a) Application Services Center Services include the development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications, including:
  (1) procurement, configuration, and integration of software-as-a-service; and
  (2) cloud computing services that are not Data Center Services identified by 1 Texas Administrative Code §215.13(a).
(b) Any of the services described in 1 Texas Administrative Code §215.43(a)(1) that require an interface or connection with the Data Center Services system environment shall be procured only through this Applications Services Center program, unless an exemption has been requested and approved by the department in accordance with 1 Texas Administrative Code §215.44.
