(a) The Guardianship Advisory Board shall elect a presiding officer and other officers considered necessary from the membership of the board.
(b) The Guardianship Advisory Board may meet to conduct business and shall meet at the call of the presiding officer.
(c) The Guardianship Advisory Board may hold public meetings or hearings on matters relating to the implementation of Chapter 531, Subchapter D, Government Code, or its duties under this chapter. Notice of public hearings or public meetings shall be posted in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 551, Government Code. The board shall develop and implement policies to provide the public a reasonable opportunity to appear before the board and speak on any matter under the board's jurisdiction.
