The purpose of this chapter is to establish the procedures and practices the Texas Department of Human Services uses in certifying, terminating certification, or taking action relating to long-term care facilities participating in Medicare and the Medical Assistance Program in the State of Texas under Titles XVIII and XIX of the United States Social Security Act.
