(a) Grant contracts awarded under SAPCS may be used to provide services to survivors and their families for the following purposes:
(1) 24-hour crisis hotline;
(2) crisis intervention;
(3) public education;
(4) advocacy;
(5) accompaniment to hospitals, law enforcement offices, prosecutors' offices, and courts for survivors and their family members;
(6) activities related to the prevention of sexual assault or violence;
(7) other purposes, consistent with state law, that are authorized by applicable federal grants; and
(8) other support for services to survivors and their families as determined by the OAG.
(b) The OAG may also consult and contract with or award grants to entities described by Texas Government Code §420.005(a) for special projects to prevent sexual assault and improve services to survivors.
