In Cameron, Hidalgo, Starr, and Willacy counties, there is an open season for chachalacas.
  (1) Open season: Saturday nearest October 28 through the last Sunday in February.
  (2) Daily bag limit: Five chachalacas.
  (3) Possession limit: 15 chachalacas.
