(a) Upon the request of any person, the secretary of state will expedite the filing or reviewing of any document submitted to the Corporations Section, except for trademark documents which require a lengthy process of document review. The special handling fee for this service is the fee established by §405.032 of the Government Code. With respect to all documents submitted for special handling, the secretary of state will notify the sender in writing or by telephone that the document was filed or the reason why it was not filed. Generally, such notification shall occur before the close of business on the next business day following the document's date of receipt. Unless the document sender provides a telephone number where the sender may be reached between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., the secretary of state will not be obligated to telephone the sender regarding the disposition of the filing. Requests for expedited filing or review must be sent to: Secretary of State, Corporations Section, Special Handling, P.O. Box 13697, Austin, Texas 78711-3697.
(b) Upon the request of any person, the secretary of state will expedite the handling of a request for certified copies or certificates of fact. Generally, the expedited order will be processed before the close of the next business day following the date of receipt. The fee for this service is the fee established by §405.032 of the Government Code.
