(a) The Department of State Health Services has prepared and maintains model workplace guidelines consistent with current public health information and with state and federal laws and regulations as required by the Texas Health and Safety Code, §85.012.
(b) Interested individuals or entities may review the guidelines or obtain copies by contacting the HIV/STD Comprehensive Services Branch, Department of State Health Services, 1100 West 49th Street, Austin, Texas 78756-3199.
(c) Employers are encouraged to adopt HIV-related workplace guidelines that incorporate, at a minimum, the department guidelines referenced in this section.
