Effective September 1, 1992, all providers seeking reimbursement from the Texas Medical Assistance Program for covered laboratory services, regardless of location, size, or type of laboratory must meet the registration and certification requirements as set forth in the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988, Public Law 100-578.
